Registration Notification for the 13th Wuyi Mathematical League in Modeling

 

The 13th Wuyi Mathematical League in Modeling is to be held from April 30th to May 3rd, 2016, in order to promote the further development of mathematical modeling education in universities, to provide mathematical modeling enthusiasts with a good platform of practice and communication, and to encourage students to actively participate in extracurricular activities about science and technology which can develop their knowledge, creative spirit and cooperation consciousness. Some matters are notified as follows:

  1. Contest time

From 9:00 a.m. April 30th to 9:00 a.m. May 3rd, 2016 (Beijing time)

  1. Registration time

From April 10th to 23:59 p.m. April 29th, 2016 (Beijing time)

  1. Entry form

The contest is divided into three groups, namely, undergraduate student group, junior college student group and postgraduate student group. In this contest, undergraduate students can only participate in the contest for undergraduate student group; junior college (higher vocational college) students may take part in either the contest for junior college student group or for undergraduate student group; and postgraduate students can only attend the contest for postgraduate student group. All undergraduate students, junior college students and postgraduate students in China is welcome to participate in this contest in teams formed by at most three students and one teacher (for those teams without teacher, please leave the contact information of a member).

  1. Awarding system
  1. The first prize accounts for 5% of registered teams
  2. The second prize accounts for 15% of registered teams
  3. The third prize accounts for 25% of registered teams
  4. All other teams that successfully participate in the contest will get certifications of “Successful Participation”.
  5. “Outstanding Organization Award” and other awards will be given based on the contest results of each school.

         Entry fees RMB 50 yuan per team (free of charge for overseaparticipants)

All participants please carefully study the League Instruction and Rules of Wuyi Mathematical League in Modeling (the 2016 revised edition which can be downloaded from the website http://www.51mcm.net) before the start of the contest, and compete strictly in accordance with the contest rules.

The organizing committee will publicize the contest results online and reexamine the paper with disagreement. And you can further contact the organizing committee if you still have different opinion about it.
